Solveigh Artschwager had this wholesome idea of inviting people across all ages and musical experiences, to play with various instruments, random objects, the space and the body. So together we set up a shared space at Basis Vinschgau Venosta for a Butoh dance-theater workshop led by Shinichi Iova-Koga and Dana Iova-Koga, where everybody joined the stage and experimented~moved~lived with each other for 1 week.
We played with water, pieces of wood, seashells, coconut shells filled with seeds, an old chair, wine glasses, brooms, bottles, buckets, a fly trapped on a lamp, a contact mic, tapes, synths, percussion instruments, a little guitar and more stuff.
The result is a 6 min long trip that I put together with the recordings from our sessions, for the dancers to move in a final performance.
